Drive Cars Down A Hill Bunk Laps Walkthrough (Day 1.5)
The industrial extension after Dunes: twelve sections, a backup cash loop, and the teleport toward Hydrochapter.
Bunk Laps is Day 1.5 in Drive Cars Down A Hill, the industrial wasteland that starts when the Dunes walkthrough finally dumps you through a teleport. A spawn sign calls the biome Wasteland. Community maps place it in Pioche County around the town of Lincoln and say the day ends at the entrance to Day 2 in Henderson County, near Las Vegas. You do not need that geography to finish the chapter. You need a chassis that still has wheels, a plan for about twelve sections, and a rule for when this map is a farm versus when it is a hallway to Hydrochapter.
The experience launched April 19, 2022 as a 25-player Roblox sandbox from Mally’s Studios. Cash still comes from distance, destruction, and style. Bunk Laps pays less than Depot and asks less of the car. Treat it as the backup loop, not the endgame. If you have not spawned the Jalopy 2106 yet, start on getting started. If Space still ejects you, fix binds on controls.
How you actually arrive
You do not pick Bunk Laps from a tourist brochure. You finish enough of Dunes — Start, Ghosttown, Overgrowth, The Climb, Milbase, and the later desert strips — until a teleport labeled something like Destination Bunk Laps fires. Full-gameplay videos often timestamp that jump around the nine-minute mark after Dunes. If the menu already lists the chapter, use the in-game teleport instead of replaying eleven Dunes sections for the scenery.
The first named stretch is Booth. Flavor text on the booth reads that kids on dirt bikes used to annoy the security guard here, and now they are both gone. That is the tone of the whole chapter: abandoned commercial junk, not another cactus field. Expect fences, lots, warehouses, and props that behave like the weekly Box Truck physics pieces. They look like shortcuts. They are often wheel eaters.
Near the beginning, a roof jump hides the Noob Barrel easter egg — a barrel painted with a default Roblox face. It is a souvenir, not a cash strategy. Do not wreck a Volga climbing a roof for a joke prop unless you already planned to teleport.
The twelve-section industrial drop
Community notes list about twelve sections between Booth and the far teleport toward Hydrochapter / Day 2. You will not memorize every fan nickname on the first pass. You will memorize the jobs:
- Booth and lots. Wide, deceptively flat. Other drivers clip you because 25-player servers treat empty asphalt as a racetrack. Hold a line. Do not park under a ramp someone else is using as a jump.
- Wasteland commercial. Abandoned stores, signs, and clutter. Style cash lives on the ramps you meant to take. Mines are less famous here than on Dunes, but explosive barrels and physics props still end a Jalopy.
- Gas station. This is the farm talk. Drive until you hit the maze-like stretch around the station, bank the distance, teleport back, repeat. It is slower than the cash farm at Depot and kinder to a Lada 2106 that cannot survive dam water yet.
- Maze and industrial gut. Tight turns, walls, and enough concrete to shear a weekly 125 MPH truck. Cougar (250 MPH) is the wrong tool. Gaz-24 Volga ($10,000) and Lada 2106 ($30,000) from the starter vehicles list are the right ones.
- Far end / Henderson gate. The chapter dumps toward Day 2 language and the Hydrochapter unlock. If Depot is already on your teleport list, stop sightseeing and go print cash.
V2Lada on 20 September 2024 retuned Bunk Laps along with Dunes and Hydrochapter. Assume the current mesh is V2 crash geometry, not the old brick cars. Roosevelt roads and junctions also soaked into later townships, so a 2023 clip of this chapter can lie about curb height and intersection width.
Gas-station farm versus Depot
Open this loop when Hydrochapter is still locked, your car is too weak for water, or Depot is a traffic jam of Contact drivers. Close it when you can teleport to Depot and take the second-from-right path for about 100k a reset. Count the difference on the cash planner. Four Bunk Laps gas-station runs that pay pocket change are not cheaper than one Depot teleport once the chapter is open.
Bring a stable shop car from the vehicle roster, not Spearhead’s boat or the Tanker. Explosion physics from 2025 makes a tanker in a warehouse district a lobby problem. Crash survival still applies: two wheels gone, fire, or a wall you cannot climb means teleport. Gravity Coil still disables cash, which makes it a spectacular way to waste a farm chapter.
Community rules do not change because the biome is industrial. No clanning. No witch-hunting with guns. Sniper towers live on Dunes, not here — details sit on sniper towers and gamepasses. If someone is shooting you in Bunk Laps, they are using a ground gun, not the M40A5 tower kit. Change servers.
What to buy before you live here
Jalopy can enter Booth. Jalopy should not be your farm car. Earn the Volga, then the Lada, then leave. Weekly trucks in the 125 to 170 MPH band look fast on the updates hub and still fold on a maze curb. Rank them on best cars and speed ranking after you can finish the chapter, not before.
Like + Join still beats empty codes. Claim group rewards before you grind an extra hour for a $100 Crudcrate. Official mile-count language (four levels, 80-plus miles) is on official links and maps and chapters. North Nevada is the no-mine classroom added 22 March 2024; it is not a replacement for this industrial drop. Read North Nevada if you want the easy day. Forest Chapter is deleted.
If you came from the guides hub, the next honest reads are Hydrochapter for the real farm and latest update so a Saturday truck does not surprise you in the maze. Scripts that skip the drive are documented under auto farm with the usual ban warning. The legitimate path is still: finish Dunes, learn Bunk Laps, unlock Depot, stop treating Day 1.5 like a career.
Bunk Laps is the chapter that teaches you the game is bigger than desert. The booth is empty. The dirt bikes are gone. The cash is later.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for downhill runs, cash, and cars.
What is Bunk Laps in Drive Cars Down A Hill?
Day 1.5, the industrial Wasteland extension after Dunes. About twelve sections from Booth to the Hydrochapter / Day 2 gate. Full route notes are on this page; the map sheet is maps and chapters.
Is Bunk Laps a good cash farm?
It is the backup. Drive to the gas-station maze, teleport, repeat. Once Hydrochapter unlocks, the Depot loop pays about 100k and is the real grind.
Where is the Noob Barrel?
On a roof jump near the beginning of Bunk Laps. It is an easter egg, not a payout. Teleport if you wreck climbing for it.
How do I unlock Bunk Laps?
Finish enough of Dunes to hit the destination teleport, or use the chapter menu if it already appears. The Dunes walkthrough covers the desert that feeds this map.
Are there sniper towers here?
No. The four towers are on Dunes only. See sniper towers. Ground guns still work; do not camp one driver.
