Drive Cars Down A Hill Speed Ranking

Stated MPH from Rabbit chaos to Contact, with weekly trucks in the middle.

Speed Ranking

Speed in Drive Cars Down A Hill is a shop label, a Saturday headline, and a trap. A 300 MPH card still has to survive ramps, landmines, sniper towers, and 24 other drivers on the same 25-player server. This ranking lists stated top speeds from public weekly text and gameplay, then tells you when those numbers lie. For “should I buy it,” use the best cars page. For “what do I buy with $30k,” use starter vehicles.

The game has been live since April 19, 2022. New cars often appear on Saturday. MPH on a weekly poster can outrun a shop 4x4 that actually finishes Dunes. Rank both.

300 MPH class

Contact — 300 MPH. The current speed ceiling people farm toward after Cougar. Gameplay chatter treats Contact as the more planted of the two top-end cars, which matters when Hydrochapter water starts throwing chassis around.

Raccoon — 300 MPH, about $100M. Same headline speed as Contact with an endgame price. If you cannot yet teleport to Depot and bank 100k, you are reading a trophy, not a plan. Park the number on the cash planner.

Nothing in the V2Lada-era shop list posts 300 MPH. Shop cars earn their keep with suspension and mass, not with this band.

250 MPH

Cougar — 250 MPH. First real “this is the fantasy” speed for a lot of wallets. It is also the car people call unstable on water. That single sentence is why Cougar is speed S and not automatic farm S. Bring a survival chassis for Hydrochapter loops; bring Cougar when the hill is dry and open.

If a YouTuber only shows Cougar highlights, they are not showing the crash survival bill you pay when a wheel leaves at 250.

170 and 140 MPH

Cannes Pursuit — 170 MPH. Classic American police car. Best weekly-adjacent speed that is not a 300 MPH myth. A-tier on the tier list hub because 170 is a real step over the 125 pack.

Lance — 140 MPH. Pizza delivery, 50 pies. Faster than the 125 trucks, slower than Cannes. Useful if you like the gimmick and already have a farm.

Box Truck — 140 MPH. Big physics props. Treat it as a chaos truck that happens to outrun the 125s, not as a Dunes specialist.

These three are the “I want speed but I do not have Contact money” band. They still lose to Gaz-66 if the question is “did I finish The Climb.”

125 MPH weekly pack

Most Saturday and event trucks land here:

  • IPC Delivery Truck — 125 MPH, grab-able physics objects
  • Spearhead SUV — 125 MPH, $400k, rideable boat you can drag
  • Tanker Truck — 125 MPH, high explosive, caution
  • Albany Villager — 125 MPH, slow start, rolls fast, 7 seats
  • Slushee Truck — 125 MPH, sell slushees for $500 each
  • Meitaro Truck — 125 MPH, light and springy

125 is the marketing number of the moment. It is faster than Jalopy and slower than every car this wiki puts in speed S. On a full server the gimmick is the point: boats, crates, explosions, drinks. On a cash route the gimmick is dead weight. Farm first with the cash farm, then buy a toy.

Check weekly vehicles and latest updates before you assume the 125 you saw last month is still the featured drop.

Slow on purpose

Rabbit — 38 MPH, $1. Starter chaos. C-tier as a tool, S-tier as a joke you can actually afford. Do not rank it against Contact. Rank it against “I want to troll spawn.”

Jalopy 2106 — $0. No shop MPH in the V2Lada list; it is the free brick you learn controls in. F for speed, S for access.

Shop cars between Crudcrate ($100) and Daytona Stock Car ($2,500,000) are not given public MPH on this wiki. We do not invent them. Judge Gaz-24 Volga, Lada 2106, Suzuk Carrier, Roadster 1915, Caddy, Harle, Tord-AA 1928, Willys, Scout Car, Coupe, Gaz-66, Sand Bruiser FJ45, Kuban G1A1-02, and Daytona by how they survive chapters, then look up current feel in-game.

Rocket is an admin-like dragster with one life, historically about 1M cash or 50 Robux. Speed is not the constraint; the single life is. Gubby and R350 appear in talk. Wait for a shop card before you rank them in MPH.

How to use a speed number

  1. Read the MPH.
  2. Ask whether the car has a gimmick that fights the hill (boat, tanker, slushee window).
  3. Ask whether you have already unlocked the maps you want to run.
  4. Compare the cash cost to Gaz-66 / Sand Bruiser / Kuban on the vehicle roster.
  5. If the car is only fast in a straight line, it is a highlight car, not a farm car.

Like + Join still beats empty codes. If you redeem anything, follow how to redeem. Official patch talk lives on official links. Community clips belong on community links.

Cougar will always win a screenshot. Contact will win a lot of races. A 38 MPH Rabbit will win the argument at spawn. None of those facts should rearrange a Hydrochapter stack you have not earned yet. Rank speed last, after the car can still steer.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for downhill runs, cash, and cars.

What is the fastest car right now?

Contact and Raccoon are both listed at 300 MPH. Cougar is 250. This is a wiki reading of public labels, not a studio speed test.

Is 125 MPH good?

It is the weekly-truck band. Fun, not efficient. See best cars for when a gimmick is worth $400k.

Why is Cougar not the automatic pick?

It is unstable on water in farm routes. Keep a survival car for Hydrochapter and use Cougar on dry hills.

Do shop cars have official MPH here?

Not beyond the weekly and special speeds listed. We do not invent tags for Volga or Sand Bruiser. Judge them on the roster.

Should I wait for Saturday to buy speed?

Often yes. New cars often drop Saturday. Skim weekly vehicles before you dump cash into a 140 MPH pizza car.
